How it works

  1. Results as you type

Type your numbers and the answer appears. There is no button to press.

  2. Your numbers stay with you

Whatever you enter stays on your screen. We do not store it.

  3. Official rules, dated

Every rate comes from the Income Tax Department, CBIC, EPFO or the labour ministry, with the source linked and the year stated.

Frequently asked questions

Which year do the calculators use?

FY 2026-27 (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, assessment year 2027-28): the slabs, rebate and standard deduction carried over by Budget 2026-27 under the Income-tax Act, 2025; GST rates in force since 22 September 2025; the EPF wage ceiling of ₹25,000 from 17 September 2026. Each page states the date it was last checked.

Do the calculators cover state taxes?

No. Professional tax, state minimum wages and stamp duties vary by state and are not included. GST is shown as CGST plus SGST (or IGST for inter-state supplies), which are the same total everywhere.

Are the results the same as the Income Tax Department's calculator?

They use the same slabs, rebate, surcharge and cess. Deductions and exemptions depend on what you claim, so enter them yourself under the old regime; the department's calculator remains the reference for anything you rely on.

Is Hesapl free? Is anything I type stored?

Yes, and no. There is no account and nothing to pay. The numbers you type stay on your device and are not stored.
