How it works

  1. Results as you type

Type your numbers and the answer appears. There is no button to press.

  2. Your numbers stay with you

Whatever you enter stays on your screen. We do not store it.

  3. Official sources, dated

Every rate comes from the Canada Revenue Agency, with the source linked and the year stated.

Frequently asked questions

Which year do the calculators use?

Tax year 2026: the CRA's 2026 federal and provincial brackets, basic personal amounts, and the 2026 CPP and EI rates. Each page states the date it was last checked.

Why is Quebec not included in the income tax calculators?

Quebec collects its own income tax through Revenu Québec, with its own brackets, credits, QPP and QPIP. A calculator built from CRA figures alone would be wrong for Quebec, so it is left out rather than estimated. Quebec's GST and QST are in the sales tax calculator.

Are the results the same as the CRA's calculator?

They use the same published rates and the main credits every employee gets (basic personal amount, Canada employment amount, CPP and EI credits). Credits that depend on your situation, such as tuition, medical expenses or provincial low-income reductions, are not applied, so your return can come out lower.

Is Hesapl free? Is anything I type stored?

Yes, and no. There is no account and nothing to pay. The numbers you type stay on your device and are not stored.
